Coral Gables, one of Miami's most attractive neighborhoods, is known as one of the first planned communities in the nation and is steeped in a century's worth of history. George E. Merrick created it, and it continues to draw visitors of all ages and backgrounds.

Merrick House

Start at the George E. Merrick House, the same place Coral Gables did. Long before the city began to take existence, where multimillion-dollar houses now stand, guava and grapefruit groves were present. Since 1973, it has been included on the National Register of Historic Places, and most weekends, guided tours are offered!

The Coral Gables Community Foundation organizes the Tour of Kitchens each year, inviting locals to open their doors so that visitors can enjoy nibbles from Coral Gables eateries while admiring their good taste. But let's face it—this is one occasion when you're not come for the food—you're here for the interior design! This event is typically in February, so mark your calendars!

 
 

Venetian Pools

Unveiled in 1923, this dazzling freshwater pool presents cascading waterfalls, lush tropical plants, cave-inspired grottos, and a miniature sandy area perfect for lounging throughout the summer months. Adjacent to it, a cafe is available, offering a selection of snacks, pizza by the slice, and various ice cream treats. The pool is fashioned from a former coral rock quarry that once supplied limestone for the construction of The City Beautiful. Each day, the 820,000-gallon pool is emptied and replenished with fresh spring water, ensuring both Gables locals and visitors can delight in its splendor.
 
 
 

Miracle Mile

A vibrant and iconic stretch of road renowned for its unique blend of upscale shopping, dining, and cultural experiences. Lined with charming boutiques, art galleries, and exquisite restaurants, this bustling thoroughfare offers a captivating atmosphere for both residents and visitors. Actors' Playhouse at Miracle Theater

A highly regarded nonprofit theater organization known for its outstanding dramatic and musical productions. They present both Mainstage and Children's programs, emphasizing educational outreach and community engagement. With a history of more than 180 Mainstage and 170 Children's Theatre productions, the theater has earned 90 Carbonell Awards for artistic excellence. Their Children's Musical Theatre consistently receives the "Best of the Best" KIDS CROWN AWARD. Apart from performances, Actors’ Playhouse offers a Theatre Conservatory with classes for all ages, a summer camp, and sponsors the Young Talent Big Dreams youth talent contest.

This community gathering takes place between January and March, bringing together local vendors, artisans, and farmers in a vibrant marketplace.
