For the 22nd consecutive year, more than 150 restaurants will participate in Miami Spice, a two-month restaurant promotion, which will run from August 1 through September 30.

 

Participating restaurants will once again provide prix fixe, three-course Miami Spice menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner with an added emphasis on alternatives and flexibility. The three-course meal brunch and lunch menus are available for $30/$35 and $45/$60 for dinner menus.

 

With the introduction of the Signature Dining Experiences this year, a few restaurants have made the decision to provide something more in addition to the normal pre-fixe, three-course dinners. These extras could include anything from multi-course specialties to a home-catering option. For instance, James Beard-nominated chef Niven Patel's Orno will provide his five-course chef counter experience, and Georgios' Santorini will offer "The Greek Experience," a unique menu featuring the eatery's most well-known entrees and appetizers. Among the new eateries opening this year are the Italian restaurant Sofia in the Design District, the Basque restaurant Zeru in Brickell, the James Beard-nominated Beauty, and the Butcher by chef Jeremy Ford in Coral Gables, the Mediterranean-inspired Aba in Bal Harbour, and the neighborhood seafood bistro Joliet in Miami Beach.
